| Head Coach, Sr. 1
& 2: Bill Vargo Coach Vargo has been coaching swimming the past 31 years. The first 3 years were as the Assistant Women's and Men's Coach at the University of South Florida and the Head Swim Coach of Plant City Swim Club. The past 24 years he has been the Head Swim Coach of the Central Florida Marlins Swim Program and the Central Florida Community College Aquatics Coordinator; and the last 7 years as Head Swim Coach for the Central Florida Marlins & Aquatics Director for Ocala Aquatics. Coach Vargo swam for the University of South Florida and was team captain his senior year. He graduated from U.S.F. with a B.A. in Marketing and a Masters in Education. He has been Head coach of Florida Swimming's Zone Team, President of the Florida Swim Coaches Association, Board Member of Florida Swimming, and currently Chairman of Florida Swimming. He has coached swimmers to state records, National Top 16, Junior and Senior National levels. He is currently the boys swim team coach for Forest High School. Coach Vargo has been married to Pam for 30 years and has three children, Jessica, W.J., and Rachael. |

Pre-Senior Coach: Jeff Wise Coach Wise started coaching swimming in Evansville, Indiana, in 1982. He established both a boys and girls high school swim team at Mount Vernon High School. After moving back to his hometown of Elkhart, Indiana he was asked to coach his old high school boys team, and took several to IU Natatorium in Indianapolis for the State Championships. Coach Wise was asked to join the Marlins coaching staff in 2002. Coach Wise was MVP three years at Concord High School in Elkhart, Indiana and MVP his last two years of college at the University of Evansville, along with conference MVP his senior year at UE. He also swims with the the Central Florida Marlins Master's Team. He has been married to Camille for 26 years and has two children, Caitlyn and Adam. |

Gold Group Coach: Joey Black Coach Black joined the Marlins coaching staff in Oct 2008. She moved here from Indiana with her husband. Coach Black has been coaching swimming for 5 years, ages 8 - 13. Coach Joey coaches the girls swim team at Forest High School. |
